OUR STORY

Hi, my name is Teresa and I started Nomad's Nest. Nomad's Nest is a business that was formed very organically. I was born and raised in Nova Scotia Canada but when I was 32 I brought my family of 4 across the world. I was a mom with 2 kids and we were struggling with the ability to make this foreign land "home". I was also struggling with being in different cultures and being without so many things I found comfort in.

So i started making them.

I didn't intent Nomad's Nest to become a business is just started with me not being able to buy things I needed. I started small with practical things, then more decorative things. Before I moved from Canada I had my own interior design business so making a home beautiful was a passion of mine. We moved to Thailand in 2013 and i was surrounded by beauty and colour every day. I was inspired to bring this colour and creativity home. While I was there I came in contact with several organizations and individuals that were struggling. The more I made and sold to other expats that were also wanting the normalcies that our home countries provided, the more people I cold help. I was able to financially support a community centre that helped and fed over 30 Thai children, helped support a refugee family of 5 and I now give regular income to 15 Thai women coming out of prison and dangerous situations. Nomad's Nest has become something I always dreamed of. With the help of so many people I am here and with every purchase, you too are supporting all those women and children so I thank you.
